It has become apparent to the board of directors of the Cathedral-Carmel Foundation, through observation, and through feedback from alumni and others, that there was an opportunity to expand its facilitation of alumni outreach. By restructuring under the supervision and authority of the foundation board and school, a plan has been developed to establish an Alumni Association in a manner that will provide a focused effort in alumni outreach.
If interested in receiving alumni news and announcements, please contact Sarah Hyde by emailing the
Development Office or by calling 337-235-5577.
The Alumni Association is open to the men and women who formally attended or graduated from Cathedral-Carmel School, Mt. Carmel, Cathedral, or Cathedral Carmel High School. The Alumni Association is focused on keeping our alumni in touch with each other and the school, on fostering friendships and on involving alumni in school activities.
The mission of the Cathedral-Carmel Alumni Association is to promote fellowship among alumni, to strengthen the ties of loyalty to their alma mater, to honor the traditions of the Sisters of Mount Carmel and the DeLaSalle Christian Brothers and to support the school in fostering the present and preparing for the future.
The newly formed Cathedral-Carmel Alumni Advisory Council members have been appointed by the president and approved by the executive committee of the foundation.
Subcommittees of the advisory council shall recruit and involve alumni and other volunteers to accomplish the goals of the alumni association. Below are the expected subcommittees.
